We'll sit and talk the stars down from the sky
Where: Emerald Coast
When: The Fall
Summary: Betrayal and loss
[Rejected. Forsaken. Ostracised.
Despite his own betrayals, Jasper had nursed no expectations of being cast aside. The last thing he needs is to believe himself so useless his master had disregarded his efforts. His voice is silent and his manner particularily flat as he treads through the ocean and onto shore. His entire body is stiff and lethargic: his face lifeless as he strides across the beach.
The failure of the day continues stirring his thoughts. Abandoning one master only to be abandoned by another. Given his sacrifices, that is hardly fine reward. One cursory look in Hendrik's direction and he presses his lips together and clenches his jaw. His old friend supports their father, arms wrapped around each other.
Yes. There is only one man here who was ever rewarded.
Anger fills his mind. Clouds his judgement. Soon he is attending the fire without friendship or assistance. Why he lights it with his magic is anyone's guess. His gaze returns to Hendrik for a moment but soon he stands at the edge of camp, away from the two men, no longer feeling in the company of family.]
